The ALPINA Ram Hr Q-Lite V has a frame open at the bottom and is equipped with a Varioflex lens. The self-tinting (photochromic) lens ensures that the trail is always easy to see, even in changing light conditions. In addition, Hicon technology significantly increases contrast, makes colors appear richer and provides sharper vision. This allows the eyes to stay focused longer, making them less stressed and more efficient at crucial moments. via cold-formable nose pads, the Alpina RAM can be optimally adapted to any nose. Together with the rubberized temples, this ensures a comfortable and secure fit of the sports glasses.

Q-Lite
Seeing contrasts sharply is an elementary feature of sports glasses. That’s why ALPINA has developed the contrast-enhancing Q-Lite technology, which makes contrasts on the trail and on the road more visible, makes colors appear richer and ensures sharper vision. Eyes can stay focused longer, they are less stressed and more powerful at crucial moments.

Varioflex
Varioflex is a lens technology in which the tint of the lens automatically adjusts to the weather. The self-tinting (photochromic) lens reacts to visible light. When exposed to light, chemical elements open up and create a flat, darkening effect. If the light intensity decreases, the chemical elements close and the pane becomes lighter again. This process takes place in a matter of seconds. The result: a pane for a wide range of lighting conditions.

MIRROR
Mirror is a pane to which several mirror layers are applied. They protect against extreme glare and infrared light. Mirror is not only a feature of a highly functional lens, but also a style element.

FOGSTOP
Fogstop is a coating on the inside of the lenses. The coating is not smooth but rough – even “fissured” on a microscopic level. As a result, the drops have no possibility to form a closed layer, i.e. to fog up and thus obscure the view. This would only happen if the moisture manages to fill the fissures with water. Before this happens, however, the deposited moisture has long since condensed and the view remains clear.

CERAMIC
Ceramic is the basic material of the lens. It is shatterproof and thus offers excellent protection for the eye.

ADAPTABLE NOSEPAD
Cold-adjustable, rubberized nose pads allow for optimal adaptation to any nose width and shape. The rubber coating effectively prevents slippage and ensures a secure fit of the glasses.

2-COMP
The combination of hard frame, soft rubberized temple ends and nose pads increases the comfort and fit of the glasses.

OPTIMIZED AIRFLOW
A strongly curved lens in combination with indirect airflow guidance ensures draft-free and fog-free vision even during fast outdoor sports.
